(Loop SLU) The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) says tourism arrivals are not expected to diminish despite Saint Lucia’s high-risk COVID-19 status with the United States Centres for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC).
The CDC earlier this week issued a Level 3 COVID-19 alert for Saint Lucia, stating that there is a high level of the virus on the island and has cautioned against all non-essential travel to the island.
“Saint Lucia, however, remains mains a destination of top choice to travellers and even amid this global pandemic her place on the international scale remains.
As it stands entry protocols remain the same and what we have noticed is that the number of registrations per day has not dwindled and so we will continue to place strong emphasis on the protocols especially within the tourism sector,”
Public Relations Manager for the SLTA, Geraine Georges said.
