St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The St. Thomas’ Primary School is the winner of the NCCU-SJCIC Primary Schools Quiz Competition held Friday, January 13, 2023, at the Michael Herald Sutton Auditorium of the Nevis Performing Arts Centre.
Amassing a total of 70 points, the St. Thomas’ Primary School came out on top among other schools after being quizzed in four rounds on the subjects of mathematics, language arts, science, and knowledge of the Nevis Co-operative Credit Union Limited (NCCU).
Securing second place was the Ivor Walters Primary School with 65 points, and placing third was the Charlestown Primary School with a total of 60 points.
The NCCU partnered with the St. John’s Community Improvement Club (SJCIC) and the Ministry of Education to host the primary schools quiz competition. The quiz is part of activities to mark the 50th anniversary of the Nevis Co-operative Credit Union Limited.
Other participating schools were the Joycelyn Liburd, St. James, and Elizabeth Pemberton primary schools, as well as the Maude Crosse Preparatory School.
