St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): As the evening approached Monday (June 28), Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris railed against the political opposition, repeating charges he had made earlier in the day, accusing his rivals of irresponsible, even dangerous conduct, and of encouraging people to resist taking the AstraZeneca Vaccine.
The Prime Minister was on the offensive just before seeking the support of 2/3 of parliamentarians for approval of a State of Emergency effective July 7 until December 31, 2021.
The Opposition denied the charges saying it is pro-choice and not anti-vaccine and in turn accused the prime minister of politicizing the management of the COVID-19 pandemic.
At close to 6 pm the Resolution for the State of Emergency from July 7 until December 31, 2021, was put to a vote and approved.
