St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The St. Kitts and Nevis National Carnival ‘Sugar Mas’ is one of the Caribbean’s most prestigious cultural festivals held during the Christmas and New Year period annually.
Each year, a group of qualified and experienced individuals are assigned to the St. Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee to organise various activities and events that would capture the attention of cultural enthusiasts worldwide.
According to the National Carnival Secretariat, the 2023-2024 National Carnival Committee is made up of “a dynamic group of visionaries, working tirelessly to make Sugar Mas 52 a grand celebration of culture, music and endless fun.”
Shannon Hawley returns as Chairperson, with responsibility for Finance, Sponsorship and Marketing
Viera Galloway will serve as Deputy Chair with responsibility for VIP Experience and Hospitality
Clement ‘Monarch’ O’Garro will serve as the Director of National Carnival with responsibility for Carnival Development and Public and Media Relations

Javon Liburd: Chair – Pageants
Cartel Ford: Chair – Panorama
Leonard Lestrade: Chair – Streets Activities
Clytie Gilbert: Chair – Ticketing and Gates
Marcia Jeffers: Liaison- Creative Economy
Jonette Boyd: St. Kitts Tourism Authority Representative and Chair of International Marketing
Amali Armony: Chair – Venue, Logistics and Production
Asquith Watson: Chair – Soca
Jason Amory: Chair – Rock the Runway & Liaison for National Carnival Fringe Activities
Sugar Mas 52 officially kicks off on December 15, 2023, and ends on January 02, 2024. However, several fringe activities will be hosted prior to the official opening.
The theme for Sugar Mas 2023-2024 is “All in with your crew for Sugar Mas 52”, penned by Aliquah Patrick, who received a cash prize of EC$500 and tickets to all the National Carnival shows.
