St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): WINN received calls about a vessel that seemed to be on its side in the Caribbean Sea in shallow water just off the popular Frigate Bay Strip.
Monday (June 7), WINN contacted the owner of the vessel, Mr. Regiwell Francis of St Kitts Marine Works.
He said Sunday (June 6) fuel and other contaminants were removed from the vessel.
St Kitts Marine Works is one of the contractors involved in the EC$6 million Frigate Beach Enhancement project or a beach nourishment exercise that also includes breakwaters and groynes aimed at boosting tourism activities in the area.
