St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Haitian airline company Sunrise Airways has introduced some special fares for passengers in the Eastern Caribbean who desire to travel to St. Kitts for the St. Kitts Music Festival from June 27 to 29.

Ms Vidji Virdol, Marketing Manager at Haitian aviation company Sunrise Airways, sat down with Ercil Charles of ABS-Antigua to discuss the special offerings.

“For the festival, we’re going to sell special fares, a 25% discount on the tickets for next week, to be able to go and enjoy the festival with us. We have some seats at 99 US to start, for you to go, but from out of these special rates, you will be able to find some other ones with the 25% discount. So what we want is to have as many people that want to go to the festival to fly with us and we even have some partnership with the festival committee that is keen to give some special prices on the tickets to get into the festival.”

Meanwhile, the special rate between St. Kitts and Antigua is US$99, US$129 between St. Kitts and Dominica, and US$160 between St. Kitts and St. Lucia.

Individuals can book online, check booking information and get travel support by visiting the website https://www.sunriseairways.net/en. A Whatsapp call centre is also available via the website. Individuals are advised to send messages only.

Meanwhile, Virdol said that with Sunrise Airways, nationals within the Organisation of the Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) can travel without their passport, as the airline strives to uphold the OECS’s agenda of free movement of people and goods.

“You have to know that with us, you can fly without your passport, just with your [identification card] or a driver’s license. We have adapted ourselves to the reality of the OECS, which is supposed to be a free zone for humans and goods to travel. We’re going to have a special offer; we’re going to do frequently special OECS offers, so we’re going to do several special offers like this one (St. Kitts Music Festival).”

Sunrise Airways currently services the islands of Antigua, St. Kitts, St. Lucia and Dominica, as well as St. Maarten and Tortola through its partnership with Winair. Other destinations include Haiti, Cuba, Panama, Miami, and the Dominican Republic, which is another Sunrise Airways base.

Sunrise Airways is seeking to expand its operation to Barbados and Guadeloupe.

The airline began its service to St. Kitts in May 2024.
