Supermarket robbery under investigation; no injuries reported

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Police are investigating a supermarket robbery on Cayon Street opposite Uncle T’s on April 23 by two masked men.

In a statement from the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, the incident was said to happen at 10:27 p.m. on Sunday.

The Police said the store’s owner reported two masked men, one with a gun, dressed in black clothing, entered the store and demanded money.

The assailants stole an undisclosed sum of money from the cash register and fled through an alley north of the supermarket.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Basseterre Police Station at 465-2241.
