St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) — General Elections will be held in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Thursday, November 05, 2020.
That announcement was made by the nation’s Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, on Thursday, October 08, 2020.
Parliament has been dissolved, and Nomination Day set for Tuesday, October 20.
More than 90, 000 persons will be eligible to cast their vote on polling day in the 15 constituencies for the ruling Unity Labour Party (ULP); the main opposition New Democratic Party (NDP); and the Democratic Republican Party (DRP) as well as the SVG Green Party (SVGP).
The ULP currently has the majority of seats in the House of Assembly with 8, and 7 held by the main opposition NDP.
General Elections were last held on December 09, 2015, with a voter turnout of 73.37% with the ULP receiving 34, 222 votes against 30, 974 for the NDP, 80 votes for the SVGP, and 153 for the DRP.
