Ten NASPA security officers appointed as Port Constables

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Ten security officers at the Nevis Air and Sea Ports Authority were promoted and took the Oath of Office as Port Constables during a significant ceremony on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.

The newly promoted Constables are Morisca Mills, Renita Braithwaite, Elverene Williams, Samantha Farrell, Derrie Browne, Aniah Fyfield, Xholan Govia, Kanika Glasgow, Stevie Mills, and Jhr’vel Swanston.

During the ceremony, the newly appointed Port Constables were advised of the seriousness and importance of their job.

Inspector of Police Mr. Alonzo Carty briefed the Constables about the morals and ethics they must display while executing their duties.

Acting Chief of Security, Mr. Velie Maynard, congratulated the port constables on their new journey. The chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Joseph Liburd, admonished the officers to be open to continuous learning and also work hard and diligently.

Mr. Oral Brandy, General Manager at the Nevis Air and Sea Ports Authority, also attended the ceremony and congratulated the Constables. He encouraged them to push upward and ensure they receive further promotions in the organisation.

The duties of the Port Constables are to maintain security at the seaports and airports.
