St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The death of 19-year-old Nicholas Evans has been ruled a suicide by Resident Pathologist Dr. Adrian Nuñez.
The ruling is according to the autopsy performed on the body of the 19-year-old on March 10, 2022, by Dr. Nuñez.
Nicholas Evans, a 19-year-old young man of Brick Kiln, Nevis, was found hanging by the neck from a rope tied to a tree in the Brick Kiln Village area on March 08.
The District Medical Officer pronounced him dead at the scene.
According to a release from the Police, Dr Nuñez concluded that death was due to Visceral Congestion, the obstruction of the normal flux of blood within the blood vessel and the young man being deprived of oxygen.
A press release shared by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force sent a correction in the cause of death for Nicholas Evans. The cause of death according to Dr Nuñez was due to mechanical asphyxia due to hanging (Suicide).

No foul play is suspected.
