St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The death toll from the coronavirus disease has risen to three in as little as five days in St. Kitts and Nevis with health officials reporting the first fatality on June 17 and announcing the second on June 21.
According to the St Kitts and Nevis Covid Situation Report No. 453 issued Tuesday, June 22 at 6 pm, another person in the Federation died as a result of the coronavirus disease which to date has claimed the lives of more than 3.8 million people worldwide.
The situation report also indicates that 27 new Covid-19 cases were identified in the last 24 hours pushing the active cases to 289.
Since the outbreak on May 19, there have been 332 reported cases of Covid-19, however, since the start of the pandemic, the Federation has confirmed 377 cases of Covid-19 with 362 for St. Kitts and 15 for the island of Nevis. The situation report suggests that 85 people have since recovered.
