Three Bills To Be Introduced In The National Assembly On Thursday

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The National Assembly meets on Thursday, March 18.

Prime Minister and Minister responsible for Finance et al Dr. Timothy Harris, will introduce and have read for the first time the Companies (Amendment) Bill, 2021; the Proceeds of Crime (Amendment) Bill, 2021; and the Gaming Control Bill, 2021.

Dr. Harris will also have read for the second time the Miscellaneous (Financial Services) (Amendment) Bill, 2021, the Non-Government Organizations (Amendment) Bill, 2021, and the Virtual Assets (Amendment) Bill, 2021, which had their first readings on March 4. Dr. Harris will also seek to have the Proceeds of Crime (Amendment) Bill, 2021 read a second time.

In other matters questions from the Member for St. Christopher #6 and opposition leader, Dr. Denzel Douglas centered on the arrangement with the COVAX Facility, the vaccine being obtained from the facility and the sensitization of the public on the vaccination program will be answered.
