St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) is recognizing three commercial banks for demonstrating outstanding service and social responsibility over the past year as the region felt the economic shocks of the coronavirus pandemic.
1. The CIBC/First Caribbean International Bank (Barbados) Ltd (Antigua and Barbuda) copped the ECCU Bank of the Year Award for Customer Service.
2. The Bank of Saint Lucia Limited won the ECCU Bank of the Year Award for Financial Education and Empowerment; and ECCU Bank of the Year Award for Technological Innovation: The Bank of Saint Lucia.
3. The National Commercial Bank of Anguilla Ltd won the ECCU Bank of the Year Award for Pandemic and Banking.
Twelve banks participated in the exercise and the winners were announced at the recent Annual ECCU Bank of the Year Awards held virtually with live streaming on the ECCB Facebook page and YouTube channel.
Governor Timothy Antoine thanked the region’s banks for their cooperation with the Central Bank.
He also offered this forecast for 2021.
