St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Three ships docked in St. Kitts today (November 10).
Two of which were docked at Port Zante, a first since March 2021; the Carnival Freedom and Celebrity Apex.
“Today is another proud day for our destination. March 13, as you may not know, was the last day we had two vessels berthed here at Port Zante. Today the Celebrity Apex is making that possible with another ship berthed on our Port Zanter two pier,” said Racquel Brown, CEO of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority.
The Celebrity Apex made its inaugural call to St. Kitts, and the Tourism Authority held a plaque exchange ceremony to mark the occasion at Port Zante. CEO Browne used the occasion to express elation that an Edge Class ship has finally docked on our shores.
“I would like to say to Captain Demetrius and his team and the Royal Caribbean Group and the Celebrity Brand, Thank you so much for bringing the Edge Class, Celebrity Apex to St. Kitts.”
The Celebrity Apex is an Edge-class cruise ship operated by Celebrity Cruises, a Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd subsidiary.
The third ship is the Seabourn Odyssey, which was anchored at South Friar’s Bay.
