St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Police are investigating the reported burning of four boats belonging to the Islander Watersports Fleet, owned by Wincent Perkins on Nevis. Three of the four boats have been totally destroyed after they were reportedly set alight at close to midnight at the Newcastle residence of Mr. Perkins.

No one was hurt in the incident; the estimated value of the boats is set at US$400,000.

Efforts to reach the Fire Chief and the Commanding Officer of the Nevis Division, were unsuccessful at news time Monday morning (August 17).

Islander Watersports, as the name suggests, specializes in water sports but also offers private and scheduled water taxi services between Qualie Beach in Nevis and Reggae Beach in St. Kitts.
