Top awards for Barbados gospel artiste Neesha Woodz


Neesha, who is the principal Worship Team Leader at the Cave Hill Wesleyan Holiness Church, also received the award for Outstanding Praise and Worship Recording (Female) for her single God of Miracles. This would be her third Marlin award. The first was in 2017 when the event was last staged. This dynamic Christian music minister has been showered with so many awards over her the years, that “I have kinda lost count of them.”

However, she managed to recall just a few of the more than 30 awards so far accumulated.

“I do not know how many awards I have, but I believe there are 30 plus,” the Bajan singer, songwriter, keyboardist and drummer declared with a chuckle, adding that some of those accolades would have been from the same Marlin Awards, the Barbados Music Awards, Antigua and Barbuda Gospel Music AwardsPraize Factor, People’s Choice Awards in Atlanta, and Texas Gospel Music Excellence Awards.

Woodz, who makes her living from singing, shared her two most sought-after goals with Barbados TODAY.                      “On a smaller scale, I want to produce a full-out worship album. People have been asking me to do that. Even though people like to hear the Caribbean genre which I am more known for, people also like to hear the worship side of me.
