St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Like Suriname and St. Kitts and Nevis, citizens and residents in Trinidad and Tobago will go to the polls in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic on August 10th.
Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley made the announcement during a sitting of the twin-island Parliament Friday.
As of July 3, the island had recorded 130 positive cases, with 115 recovered and 8 deaths.
During a recent edition of Voices, Guardian Multimedia Journalist Otto Carrington spoke to WINN FM about the preparation for elections during the pandemic, where he pointed out that electoral officials will likely take best practices from St. Kitts-Nevis and Suriname.
