Trinidad & Tobago (Loop): The Health Ministry said over 100 people will be arriving from New York City tonight as part of a series of repatriation exercises over the Christmas period.
Speaking at today’s Ministry of Health briefing, Dr. Maryam Abdool-Richards gave a brief run-down of impending arrivals of Trinidadian nationals:
‘We have three repatriation exercises scheduled within the next five to six days. This evening we have a repatriation exercise of approximately 132 persons from New York City who will be returning at around 8pm.’
She said additionally on December 18 another repatriation exercise involving approximately 132 citizens arriving from Barbados will take place.
She said they are also expecting repatriation flights from Miami and Canada.
