St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): St Kitts and Nevis’ female Deejay Michelle Stokes, commonly known as “Triple S Sweet Sister Sensia, The Alpha Queen”, is hosting a party dubbed “Secrets”. The event is slated for Saturday night March 19, 2022, from 9 pm until.
On Friday afternoon March 18, WINN FM spoke to Sensia who explained why the name “Secret” was chosen for the party.
“The reason why I call it Secret is because I find lately that many people don’t know how to keep a secret. People don’t know how to hold down certain things. [If] you and somebody have something going on, the whole world gets to know.
The event organiser said she was equally inspired by a song by recording artist Dejour that speaks to the whole issue of keeping secrets.
As indicated on the event’s flyer, it is an all-black affair. Sister Sensia shared the reason for the colour.
“A secret is black, a secret is supposed to be dark, so that’s why I say, wear black. You have to remember that when somebody tells you something when you walk out of that room, it’s dark; you can’t even remember what that person said because it goes to the back of your mind, to the back of your head and it’s a secret.”
Sister Sensia said the event is open to adults 21 years and older, with narrow consideration given to 20-year-olds. She expressed her frustration and concern about seeing juveniles at events that are not appropriate for them.
“I find that too many children are going out to parties and parents are not taking control of that. You are seeing 15-year-olds and 14-year-olds at parties and they are partying with their parents. To me, children need to be children.”
Secrets will be held at Fairview Great House and Botanical Gardens and according to the organiser, a VIP room will be organised, called the “Secret Room.”
“I said I am doing it for ten tables. Ten Tables will invite you and a guest which will be 20 people. If you want a drink on a table, whatever drink you said you want, is gonna be on your table. Your ice is going to be on your table, your container is gonna be on your table and enough finger food will be there to supply you and your guest; so at the end of the day, I have control because there are not a lot of people.”
A 360 photo booth will also be in the Secret Room for the patrons to take pictures.
The Entertainment line-up includes Pinnochio, DJ Tero, Dejour, Equinox Sound, Hell Fire International, EK The Real Right Entertainment, Street Vibes Sounds, DJ Dangles, Mr. Mention, and Sweet Sister Sensia herself. She said varying genres of music will be played for one’s enjoyment.
