St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Tropical Storm Gonzalo is continuing to strengthen and expected to become a hurricane by Thursday according to the National Hurricane Center.
At 11 am Gonzalo was located about 1205 miles east of the southern Windward Islands. The storm is moving toward the west near 14 mph with sustained winds at 50 mph with higher gusts.
A faster forward speed, in a westerly direction, is expected to take place during the next few days.
In a release issued by the National Emergency Management Agency, National Disaster Coordinator, Abdias Samuel, urged citizens to monitor the storm and to listen to local media and authorities for updates.
