St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): A new tropical depression could be churning in the Atlantic Ocean in a few days, according to the National Hurricane Center.
A tropical wave located just west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands is being closely monitored as environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for development.
The wave was moving westward to west-northwest at 10 to 15 mph. The disturbance has been given a 60 percent chance of formation.
On August 7, the Colorado State University revised its 2020 Hurricane Season forecast from above normal to extremely active due to atmospheric and oceanic conditions which are primed to fuel storm development in the Atlantic.
