St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Two more citizens have died from COVID-19 related complications according to the latest COVID-19 Situation Report, No. 586 provided by the St. Kitts Health Promotions Unit.
The death toll in the Federation now stands at 27.
Health officials have indicated that we are at the back end of the third wave of transmission in St. Kitts and Nevis.
The daily cases reported on Tuesday (November 9) were 13 and the previous two days showed zero cases reported. There are currently 94 active cases.
Over 50 percent of the entire Federation has been vaccinated. First doses are nearing 80 percent for the adult population and second doses are just under 75 percent.
The vaccination rate of the targeted teenage populace of 4,800 is still low with 12 percent having had the first dose and 10 percent have received the second.
