Kingston Jamaica (Loop Jamaica): Jamaica recorded an additional two COVID-19 related deaths and 69 new cases on Wednesday, according to the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
The deceased are a 53-year-old female and a 63-year-old male, both from Kingston and St Andrew. Another death of a COVID-19 patient on Wednesday is under investigation.
The latest fatalities bring the death toll from the coronavirus in Jamaica to 235.
The 69 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases bring the total number of cases on record for the island to 10,088. Recoveries increased by 38, bringing total recoveries to 5,407.
Of the newly confirmed cases, 36 are males and 33 are females, with ages ranging from three months to 83 years. The cases were recorded in St Catherine (20), Kingston and St Andrew (12), St James (nine), St Ann (seven), Hanover (six), Manchester (four), St Elizabeth (four), Westmoreland (three), Trelawny (two) and Portland (two).
There are eight moderately ill patients and seven critically ill patients among the 4,306 active cases now under observation in Jamaica.
