Two young men to represent SKN at International Music Camp

St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Two young men from St. Kitts and Nevis will represent the Federation at the world-renowned International Music Camp in North Dakota.

A Facebook post on the St. Kitts Department of Youth Empowerment’s page shared the names of young men, Jermorie Isaac of the Washington Archibald High School, a 15-year-old vocalist, and 17-year-old musician-Colin Norford Jr. of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College.

Auditions were held in St. Kitts on April 3 at Warner Park, where Isaac and Norford secured their spots.

According to the music camps site, The International Music Camp Summer School of Fine Arts was founded in 1956 and offers various cultural studies for students and adults.

The camp hosts a one-week summer camp program in Dance, Creative Writing, Painting, Drawing, Theatre, and several other Fine Arts disciplines in June and July. An International Youth Cultural Exchange Program will be held Summer of 2023 in North Dakota for music students between the ages of 14-18, which covers the areas of Band, Musical Theatre, Choir, Piano, Guitar, Jazz Band, Vocal Jazz, Orchestra and more.

A staff of 150+ artist-teachers, internationally noted guest conductors, and outstanding clinicians from the United States and Canada provide instruction to students worldwide.
