St Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Prime Minister Timothy Harris says the upgrading work at the Black Rock tourist site speaks to the benefit the surrounding communities will derive from what he describes as a world class facility.

The prime minister and area Representative for the location says the new viewing deck which was installed forms part of a broader push to enhance tourist facilities around the island in the current down season.

Dr. Harris while speaking at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new deck pointed to several of the works currently being undertaken at Black rocks.

Provision is also being made for persons in the differently–able community, as the Ministry of Tourism continues its push for more tourist to the location.

According to the finance minister, it is critical that tourism is not centralized, but allows for the development outlying communities to benefit.
