St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) – US$10,000 pledged in six hours, the result of a global call for support from the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) and the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).
Director-General of the OECS, Dr. Didacus Jules made the announcement during the April 13 broadcast of Leadership Matters.
Dr. Jules mentioned that an earlier planned response needed revising, as residents of St. Vincent and the Grenadines were hesitant to leave their homeland.
