St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) – The University Council of The University of the West Indies has approved the decision that the Open Campus will be rebranded as the Global Campus.
The transition from an Open Campus to a Global Campus is anticipated to occur in incremental phases from August 1, 2023, with a full operationalisation of the new Global Campus by January 2024.
This evolution of the university comes as it celebrates its 75th Anniversary and its enduring legacy of service to the Caribbean community.
Professor Sir Hilary Beckles said, “The tremendous legacy of the Open Campus and the role it has for the future can only be secured in the context of fundamental restructuring and reengineering” and signalled the official launch of The UWI Global Campus in a video:
