St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) – It is unclear just how many people in the Caribbean are upbeat about taking the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine and how many people are fearful of the exercise, for one reason or the other, and are unwilling to be vaccinated at the moment.
Aware of the need to make the case for vaccination, the region’s premier academic institution, the University of the West Indies (UWI) Vice Chancellor’s Forum Monday (February 22) featured a “COVID-19 Vaccination Q and A”.
The event was hosted by Professor and Pro-Vice Chancellor of UWI at Cave Hill, Mr. Clive Landis, Professor of Public Health, Epidemiology and HIV/AIDS, Dr. Peter Figueroa and Professor of Molecular Genetics and Virology Dr. Christine Carrington Monday.
The UWI professors encouraged CARICOM citizens to get vaccinated for their own good and that of their communities.
