St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): St. Kitts and Nevis’ Minister of Foreign Affairs who also serves as Premier and Senior Minister of Health in the Nevis Island Administration, the Hon. Mark Brantley is pleading for citizens and residents, particularly on Nevis, to take the vaccine.

“We have vaccines that will expire at the end of June. It, therefore, means that there is an urgency for persons to go out [and take the vaccine]. And so I am begging and urging our people…”.

Brantley was at the time speaking at his May 25 press conference when he made that clarion call.

All health centres in St. Kitts and Nevis will be administering the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

As of Monday, May 24, 2021, the first dose administered stands at 22,278 with 16,810 on St. Kitts and 5,468 on Nevis. The second dose numbers in the Federation are at 5,968.
