Week one done and dusted in Nevis knockout

St. Kitts and Nevis (Sports Page) – The SKN Moves – Nevis Chapter hosted its 4th Calendar event for 2023- the second edition of the “It’s a Nevis Knockout, Bank of Nevis Cup Challenge 2023.

The anticipated full quota of sixteen participants, was not met, due to injuries.

However, a total of nine competitors showed up for the first elimination round, on Saturday 22nd July, at the FIT Wellness grounds.

The competition was of a high level and there was no shortage of high energy and enthusiasm amongst the athletes.

Each athlete competed against the clock, with the top eight fastest times automatically going through to the next stage of the competition.

Unfortunately, one person was eliminated on the day, but he was asked to standby for a possible recall into the competion, if something goes wrong with one of the qualifiers.

The semi- finals will now take place at the F.I.T. Wellness grounds this coming Saturday, 29th July, at 4.00 pm. This is where the competition really steps up to another level, as the final eight will compete against each other in pairs.

Saturday the 29th of July the semifinalists will know their fate when their names are pulled randomly from a box.

Temperatures are expected to soar as we wait in anticipation for the Finals which will take place on the 5th of August 2023. The top four will again go through the same selection process to vie for the top three positions.

The general public is cordially invited to come out and support the semi- finalists.

It promises to be a spectacular event.

All of the updates will be posted on the newly set up SKN Moves Nevis Chapter Facebook page.
