(EMU) Basseterre, St. Kitts: As part of the ongoing process with the merging of the Estridge and Edgar T. Morris Primary Schools, a winning design was voted on as the new uniform for those students enrolled in the institution for the upcoming academic year 2023-2024 and beyond.
Mr. Roger Woodley, Deputy Chief Education Officer and member of the School Merger Committee explained the selection process.
“On May 04 there was a Parent Teachers’ Association (PTA) meeting where the uniform was decided on. After pictures of the different uniforms were shown to the audience, there was a voting process. Each person was given a sheet of paper and as each exhibit was shown parents got the opportunity to vote. These votes were then counted in front of the audience and at the end of it, exhibit number 7 was declared the uniform for the Estridge-Edgar T. merger for September 2023”.
The school will be located at the current Edgar T Morris Primary School in Tabernacle. The merger committee has actively engaged the communities impacted by the school merger to ensure their input in decisions surrounding the merge.
