St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN): Another recipient of the Youth Impact 12 Awards is expressing gratitude to the Department of Youth on Nevis for the recognition in this year’s cohort of awardees.

Ms. Yahsulazie Grant-Flanders, in an interview with WINN on Friday (Nov. 05), described the Youth Impact 12 Awards as “a space that reminds young people that they can do it.” This is an awesome initiative and it’s beautiful. I would like to thank the Department of Youth for bringing this space for us.”

Ms. Grant-Flanders took the time to credit Mr. Huey Sargeant, former Director of Nevis Television (NTv), where she currently works, for the role he played in her personal and professional life.

“I would like to thank Mr. Huey Sargeant because he played a major part in me finding myself as a designer and dealing with graphics and production work and my parents and friends who have rooted for me endlessly.”.

Ms. Grant-Flanders was awarded in the area of “Youth in Entrepreneurship”.

The Youth Impact 12 Awards Ceremony was held on Thursday, November 04, 2021, at the Micheal Herald Sutton Auditorium of the Nevis Performing Arts Centre under the theme “Champions of Youth Work”.

The Youth Impact 12 Awards is an award where the Department of Youth recognises outstanding young people from the ages of 18 to 30 for their outstanding contributions in various categories.
