St. Kitts and Nevis (WINN) — Members of the St. Kitts National Youth Parliament Association(SKNYPA) were guests on Friday’s (November 27) edition of Voices, where they spoke about their recent Mock Parliament Sitting. The “Sexual Harassment Bill 2020” and “Adoption of a National Cultural Policy” were the topics on the parliamentary table.
Mr. Malakhi Ferguson who served as the Prime Minister gave his stance on the Sexual Harassment Bill and the Adoption of a National Cultural Policy.
The Deputy Leader of the Opposition was Alaric Arache.
The Mock Parliament sitting took place on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at the National Assembly Chambers, Government Headquarters, and was presided over by SKNYPAs President, Ms. Patrice Harris.
The sitting saw in attendance the Hon. Jonel Powell, Minister with responsibility for Education and Youth as well as the Hon. Shawn Richards, Deputy Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis and other senior government officials, parents, teachers, and students.
